On the footsteps of Jesus

Visits to Jerusalem, Judea and the Galilee, 8-day retreat in Jerusalem

Following the example of our Father Ignatius, we trace the footsteps of Jesus in Jerusalem, Judea and Galilee. The visits to the various shrines and sites help our meditation and reflection on the mystery of the Incarnation and the Paschal Mystery. We will live our annual 8-day Spiritual Exercises in the Old City of Jerusalem at the end of the program.

Bible and spirituality in the Holy Land

Pray, visit, study and share the Land of our roots, where everything began. A unique experience of faith and of the Society, together with Jesuits and Jesuit collaborators and friends, from different parts of the world. The Bible, the Holy Land, Jesus and Ignatius will be our guides. The programme offers pilgrimage in the Land, with a focus on the journey of God with the people of Israel (Judean Desert and Negev) and through the incarnation (Galilee), followed by eight days of Spiritual Exercises in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Personalised plans

A personal itinerary can be worked out for those who desire to spend time in Jerusalem in particular with the Jesuit community. We offer guided retreats, visits to the holy places, Biblical courses, Ignatian reflection and opportunities to get to know contemporary Israeli and Palestinian society.

The programmes are aimed at:
— Jesuits in formation, brothers and priests
— Lay women and men collaborators and associates in Ignatian apostolates
— Religious sisters and priests who are interested in having a Holy Land experience and Ignatian spirituality.

The programmes are held in English. For the Spiritual Exercises, the Jesuit staff offers the possibility for a personal dialogue in different languages (English, French, Italian, or Spanish)
